An original pattern in the works. This WIP might be my favorite right now. So bright. So full of love.

I’ve promised myself to take it slow. To remember why I love crochet. There is no emergency to finish.

Crochet can feel chaotic. But sometimes I just need it to be still.

To feel present with it. That can be hard in this world.

Crossed my fingers, and it turned out so much bett Crossed my fingers, and it turned out so much better.

I loved the flowers, but I wanted them to open up more. The border stitch, a reversed slip stitch, didn’t help with that. Steam did. Everything relaxed and settled.

It took forever, but I think it was worth it.

And if you didn’t know, steaming acrylic yarn helps set the stitches and makes them less likely to unravel.

Next up is embroidery here and there. Maybe some bees, maybe a butterfly. Then this beauty will finally be complete!
